Tuesday, June 30th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: Superintendent of Police Hilberto Romero, officer in charge of Eastern Division Criminal Investigation Branch, says police investigations haven’t gotten very far in the death of 23 year old Desmond Usher, also known as “Mumuch.”
His body was found 8:30 Monday morning in a remote area of Mahogany Heights by family and friends who had reportedly searched for him since Friday night, when he was last seen alive.
Common-law wife Sherima Neal says she was waiting for him to return from his family’s residence at her mother’s home but he failed to show and nobody he knew that she contacted saw him. A search began almost immediately and lasted through most of the weekend, leading to Monday’s discovery.
Police have made no arrests, have established no motive and are still puzzling through what happened.
But who would want to kill him? Usher was well-liked, but family believe that the person who holds the key is an unidentified female friend who called him on Friday night when he left for his father’s house
Desmond Usher had been living in Mahogany Heights for 3 years and was well known in the village. He was the father of two kids and one unborn child. Police investigations into his death continue.
