Tuesday, June 30th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: Police Constable Jason Hall is in critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after being beaten by a would-be Good Samaritan on Monday.
Orange Walk police captured the suspect, who is now in Belize City expecting charges of aggravated assault.
Around 3:25 in the afternoon Constable Hall was repairing a flat tire on his car with the assistance of another person, who is thought to have attacked him with an object, beaten him in the head several times, then left him for dead as he took his vehicle.
Hall managed to find assistance in the nearby village and was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk Town before being transported to Belize City.
Police quickly recovered the vehicle, a 4-door Mazda car, on Pine Street in town later in the evening.
