By Aaron Humes: A fire reported just after four Friday morning on Hopkins Street in the King’s Park area of Belize City has left five persons homeless.
A 2-storey building, property of a Belizean woman living in the U.S., went up in flames and by the time the Fire Service arrived it was too late to save the structure.
Station Manager for the Fire Service Orin Smith told reporters that the fire started in the upper flat, which was occupied by three persons, none of whom were at home at the time.
Investigation continues into what started the fire.
The Service is looking for one Gregory Usher, a resident of the building, to provide information as part of their investigation.
