By Victor Castillo Sr.: The Cahal Pech Village Resort, following up on the Belize Tourism Board’s (BTB) offer for Steve Harvey to host the 2016 Costa Maya pageant, has welcomed the famous comedian and offered to host him if he decides to accept the offer.
“If Steve Harvey decides to visit Belize next year, we would love to host him at Cahal Pech”, said Lloyd Alvarez, the Resort’s Reservations Manager. “Cahal Pech is the largest resort in the Cayo District and offers spectacular views of the verdant Belize River Valley.
We have a variety of accommodations for Mr. Harvey to choose from. We also have a list of tours that we think he might like,” added Alvarez.
Cahal Pech is the perfect place to take the edge off and enjoy nature’s wonders. Located in the Cayo District, Cahal Pech Village Resort is comprised of 23 palm thatched cabanas, 14 standard rooms, 5 spacious suites, 9 deluxe suites, 3 fresh water swimming pools, a restaurant that serves an assortment of gourmet flair, a fully stocked bar, a gift shop, a fleet of tour vehicles and a cadre of professional staff.
Families, honeymooners and adventure travelers use the resort as an ideal base to explore the amazing and wonderful ecotourism activities in San Ignacio Town.
“Dear @IAMSteveHarvey, we all make mistakes. You handled yours with class. Would you host our next pageant? @CostaMayaFest #MissUniverse2015,” the BTB tweeted. BTB made the pitch to Harvey via Twitter earlier today as the host continues to face public backlash for his mistake at the this weekend’s Miss Universe pageant where he announced the wrong winner and had to make a correction shortly after, causing much outrage and confusion.
