45 year old Jacqueline Williams of Dean Street, Belize City, is accused of stealing $80 from Sherlette Lamb on Boxing Day, December 26, 2015.

Williams pleaded not guilty to theft charges before Magistrate Deborah Rogers who offered her bail in the sum of $200 plus one surety of the same which she met after 12 noon today.

Jacqueline Williams is due back in court on February 29, 2016.

Lamb said she was socializing at Nikita’s Shop located at #83 corner George and Dean Street when she said she personally saw Williams take her hand bag from off her bicycle parked in the area, remove the money inside it, and put it back before leaving.

Upon her return, Lamb confronted Williams, who told her that she never took any money but admitted that she had removed the purse.

Unable to get back her cash, Lamb went to make a report to police and requested court action.
