By Chrisbert Garcia: Two separate shooting incidents in the old capital yesterday has left two teenagers hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), one of them in a critical but stable condition.
The first teen, 15-year-old Kirk Broaster, was walking on Pickstock Street around 4:09 p.m. when two male persons on a motorcycle came from behind and fired several shots at him, causing wounds to his shoulder and back areas.
Just a few hours later at around 9:20 p.m., 19-year-old Stanley Alexander Flowers was visited by police at the KHMH after he was shot to his right arm while standing at the corner of Gibnut and Curassow Streets with a friend. Flowers told officers that two armed men fired several shots at him, causing his injury.
In connection to the shooting of Broaster, police have detained two men pending investigation as he remains in a critical but stable condition at the KHMH and in connection to the shooting of Flowers, a chrome and black 9 millimeter pistol has been recovered and one person has been detained as police seek two others in their ongoing investigations.
