By Chrisbert Garcia: Stann Creek Police are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a popular structure on mile 25 of the Hummingbird Highway, known as “Bertha Tamales”, which caught fire around 6:30 p.m. on the evening of New Year’s Eve.
Owned by 38-year-old Aurora Lisbey, the small 12 feet by 12 feet structure and all its contents was completely destroyed in the blaze, resulting in the loss of an estimated $4,000.
