By Dalila Ical: Corozal Police are investigating the circumstances of an abandoned vehicle found with apparent bullet holes to the windshield and the door on the driver’s side.
The vehicle, a blue Kia Sportage, was found about five to six feet off the road between the Buena Vista and Caledonia Villages in the Corozal District. Upon closer inspection of the vehicle police found what appeared to be three bullet holes on the windshield and one on the driver’s door.
Authorities know who the owner of the vehicle is but would not release his name just yet as they are still trying to locate that person. The police was only able to say that they found no blood stains in or around the vehicle and thus cannot confirm whether anyone was hurt. Officers are combing the immediate area to search for clues.
At this time Corozal police say information is still sketchy as they are receiving two conflicting stories but could not discuss further details with the media. Police say they do not want to speculate this early in the investigation. We will follow this story as it develops.
