Cold front approaching

radar feature January 10By BMG Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is forecasting a cold front that will support an increase of moisture across the country later today.

The 24 hour forecast is for skies becoming increasingly cloudy this evening and later tonight with a few showers mainly inland and in the north at first then spreading to the coastal areas.

Winds will blow from north to northwest at 10 to 20 knots. Sea state is considered moderate.

High temperatures are expected in the coast at 85 degrees Fahrenheit, 87 degrees Fahrenheit inland and 76 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

A high tide is expected at 10:14 p.m. and a low tide tomorrow morning at 5:12 a.m. Sunrise will be at 6:26 a.m.

The extended forecast to Monday afternoon through midday on Tuesday is for mostly cloudy and cool weather with a few showers or periods of light rain mainly along coastal areas.
