Deputy Police Commissioner Miguel Segura’s fate “in hands of courts”

 By Aaron Humes: Deputy Police Commissioner Miguel Segura is in limbo, interdicted, stripped of his police powers and facing criminal charges and at least one civil lawsuit in relation to his collision on Deputy Police Commissioner Miguel Segurathe George Price Highway in August of 2014 with the taxi vehicle of Yanie Ku, resulting in permanent paralysis for Ku and the death of vendor Yolanda Valencia.

Today, Commissioner of Police Allen Whylie gave an update on the veteran officer, emphasizing that while he is out of office at present, it is the courts that will decide his fate.

The civil case between Segura and Yolanda Valencia’s family is scheduled forFebruary 15, while Ku contemplates his own suit.
