By Chrisbert Garcia: Another road traffic accident, this time between miles 44 and 45 on the Southern Highway, has left a resident of San Isidro village in a critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), after being hit by a pickup truck traveling in the direction of Punta Gorda town.
Last night around 8:15, police were called to the area where they saw Estevan Juarez lying on the side of the road with a large wound to the forehead, left arm apparently broken and left leg broken. Officers were informed that the driver of the truck that hit Juarez, did not stop to render aid and kept driving.
Juarez was walking on the side of the road when the incident occurred and he was taken to the Independence Poly Clinic before being transported to the KHMH for further treatment. Police investigations continue.
