By BMG Staff: Belmopan Police’s Quick Response Team made the discovery of a shotgun with five cartridges yesterday while conducting a search in Roaring Creek Village, Cayo District.
Hidden under some bushes on Christian Refuge Road in the village, officers found the 12 gauge pump action shotgun, which had no serial number and a wooden handle wrapped with a black elastic rubber.
The gun and cartridges were deposited as “found property” since no one was in the area at the time of the search.
