By Chrisbert Garcia: Three persons have been jointly charged for theft in Belize City after stealing more than $11,000 cash from inside a Puma Gas Station, located at mile 2 on the Philip Goldson Highway, late Saturday evening.
The gas station’s manager reported to police that sometime between the hours of 2:00 and 7:30 p.m., while 44-year-old Antonietta Gillett, 35-year-old Terique Glastanbury and 34-year-old Rupert Avila were servicing computers and printers in the gas station, more than $11,000 went missing from inside a white envelope that contained $13,000.
Police then proceeded to search a Mitsubishi Montero owned by Gillett at the Belama Precinct compound and found under the front passenger seat, a total of $11,350 in cash. Gillett, Avila and Glastanbury were then all arrested and charged for the offense of “theft”.
