By BBN Staff: Well-known football player San Leobardo Mendez Jr., who plays on the National team and the Real Verdes Football Club was busted with 2,498 grams of cannabis, an estimated 10.5 pounds, at the Western Border sometime after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
According to reports, customs officers made checks inside the truck saw two rectangular parcels, which they immediately reported to police.
The vehicle was being driven at the time by Mendez.
