By Aaron Humes: Tonight three San Pedro police officers are on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being arraigned late this evening for the offense of murder. 
And relatives of the dead San Pedro bartender, 30 year old Edwin Ixpatac are planning to have a peaceful protest on Thursday, March 10, 2016 on San Pedro following what they called an unjustified death of an innocent resident.
Tensions were high at court as relatives of both the accused and deceased were in court and outside, they exchanged words.
Arraigned were 20 year old Reydel Teck, a diarist with the Belize police department and a resident of resident of Patchakan Village, Corozal, along with 20 year old Jahsimir Cob, a police officer of San Pedro Town and 22 year old Police officer, Romelio Logan, a resident of Fabers Road, Belize City.
No plea was taken from the trio and due to the nature of the offenses, they were denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until their next court date set for May 9, 2016.
On this next appearance a date for Preliminary Inquiry will be set.
Relatives say that they have not yet seen the video footage police have of the incident.
