Thursday, July 9th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: The victorious representative for Dangriga, Frank “Pawpa” Mena, will officially have the title “Honourable” affixed to his name when he takes the oath of office as a Minister of State in the Ministry of National Security.
Mena will be sworn in by Governor General Sir Colville Young in Belmopan Friday morning at 10:30.
He joins substantive Minister and Belmopan representative John Saldivar. His exact duties are not yet known.
Mena will take the separate oath of office as a member of the House of Representatives at its next session. He will become the 19th area representative allied with the United Democratic Party (UDP).
