By Aaron Humes: The Orange Walk Town Council is dealing with an internal situation involving a former employee caught with thousands of dollars in town revenue. 
Revenue collector Carlos Tillett was let go for failing to hand in monies he collected from residents. But it is not true, as reported, that the amount that was not handed in is far greater than what has been reported.
Orange Walk Town Mayor Kevin Bernard said it was just over 10 thousand dollars, not 60 thousand, involved, and there are plans to repay the money.
While police are handling the matter, the Mayor said he expects that the rest of the money will be paid in by Tillett’s family.
