Barrow and appointed Special Envoy for Women and Children, is wrapping up her five day visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan) today, Friday.
Mrs. Barrow visited with her counterpart Chow Mei Ching, spouse of Taiwanese President Ma Ying Jeou; Foreign Affairs Minister David Lin, and chairman of the Cathay Charity 
Foundation Frederick Chien, with whom she discussed possible areas of cooperation.
On Wednesday of this week while visiting the En Chu Kong Hospital, she was conferred the Fervent Global Love of Lives Medal by the Chou Ta Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation, for overcoming the pains and difficulties of life with her indomitable courage and persistence, while making sacrifices for others.
