By BBN Staff: In the wee hours of this morning, Belmopan Police discovered the lifeless body of Hispanic man identified as Gelion De Leon with a large cut wound to the neck and gunshot wounds to the head and left shoulder.
Police responded to a call of gunshots heard at around 1:25 a.m. and visited a cattle farm in Camalote Village of the Cayo District, where they saw the body lying next to a white pickup truck at the ranch’s gate.
Initial investigation revealed that around 12:08 a.m., the ranch’s watchman heard several gunshots from the entrance and saw the white pickup parked.
De Leon’s body was transported to the Western Regional Hospital where it was pronounced dead and now awaits a post mortem examination at the morgue.
