By BBN Staff: NASA astronaut Jeff Williams, who is currently aboard the International Space Station (ISS), posted stunning images and video of the bright coral reefs off the coast of Belize City to his social media page over the weekend.
“Good Morning! Beautiful Belize coastal waters, where Central America meets the Caribbean Sea,” he posted along with a picture viewing almost the entire Belize district coastline and probably then some.
He followed that with a series of stunning photos including views of Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye. “Fantastic Belize barrier reefs, find your favorite region. Spotting coral reefs is a fun past time of mine,” he revealed.
Williams finished with a video from the ISS sailing down Belize’s coastline displaying the vivid colors of the Caribbean sea and coral reefs.
Williams has been one of the more prolific Tweeters aboard the ISS often sharing images of different regions of the world. His images are frequently featured in online and print publications.
