By BBN Staff: A bar argument near the Spanish Lookout area turned deadly last night leaving one man dead and three others hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

The incident happened at Pasadita Bar on the Iguana Creek Road, Spanish Lookout area around 10:45 last night. Guillermo Guerra, 64; Victor Ismael Perez, 52; and Elvin Larios arrived at the bar in a black pickup and ordered a few drinks when they got into an argument with Jose Anibal Molina Estrada, 59.

Estrada drew his gun and started firing shots at the three men. Larios also drew his firearm and shot Estrada, killing him on the spot. When San Ignacio police arrived on the scene, Estrada was found lying in a pool of blood with the gun still in his hand.

The three injured men were taken to the La Loma Luz hospital in Santa Elena to be treated for gunshot wounds. Guerra suffered a gunshot wound to left foot; Perez suffered a gunshot wound to the left and center of stomach; and Larios suffered from gunshot wounds to the right shoulder, the right side of stomach and the left hip area.

At the scene police recovered a gray and black Ruger brand nine-millimeter pistol with serial number 31566886 and five Aquila brand live rounds of ammunition. There was also a shell casing in the chamber. Police also recovered 17 expended nine-millimeter shells from the scene.

Estrada’s body was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital morgue with one apparent gunshot wound to the right side of the upper arm pit and five gunshot wounds to the buttocks. The body now lies at the San Ignacio morgue awaiting a post mortem examination. Guerra and Perez are listed in stable condition. Larios is listed as critical but stable.

At the hospital police searched the black Toyota Tacoma pickup and found a Glock nine-millimeter pistol without ammunition. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
