By BBN Staff: An investigation is ongoing into the traffic accident that happened in San Ignacio yesterday morning, when a Toyota car collided head on with a concrete wall of the town’s market square.
Police arrived on the scene sometime around 4:10 a.m., seeing Patrick Lewis Gordon, 34, and Gardina Teck, 23, trapped inside the car which was extensively damaged to its front portion.
At the time, Gordon, the driver, was still unconscious and Teck was complaining of intense pain all over her body as she had suffered a broken right leg and a broken left wrist.
The fire department was called in to remove the two persons, suspected to be intoxicated, from the vehicle and they were taken to the San Ignacio Hospital for medical treatment.
Gordon, who had a cut wound on his left knee cap and complained of pain all over his body, refused to give a blood sample in the presence of a doctor.
