By BBN Staff: On Friday of last week, 34-year-old Melissa Ellis of a Ladyville Village address, reported to police that her house had been burglarized and an assortment of valuables were stolen.
Ellis stated that around 5:50 that morning, she arrived home from work and became suspicious when her garage entrance could not open. She then entered the house through her front door and noticed that someone had put on lights in her living room.
The woman said she then immediately exited her house and called for police assistance. When officers arrived, she made checks inside and saw that the entire house was ransacked and jewelry, groceries, as well as personal items were all stolen from her home.
All stolen items added up to a total value of $17,550 and police investigations continue.
