By Dalila Ical: Delmar Javier Guerra, 44, was killed in an execution style murder in Paraiso Village, Corozal. Unconfirmed reports are that Guerra, also known as “El Diablo”, of San Joaquin Village was driving his white van when, at about 5:00 p.m., he pulled up to a house to do his laundry.
At that point two men on a motorcycle reportedly pulled up to him and fired several shots in his direction, as many as ten, some residents recall. When residents approached the vehicle and opened the door they found Guerra alive and he had apparently tried to shoot back as his revolver was out and fell out of the van when the door was opened.
He was rushed to the hospital but died on the way. Guerra had been involved in a previous shooting in 2013 and had been shot to the face in Calderitas, Chetumal Mexico in what appeared to be a drug deal gone badly. He survived that incident but was targeted once more.
