By BBN Staff: A Belmopan resident is today recuperating from injuries received after his pickup truck suffered a blow out causing him to run off the road. 
Ricardo Cambeiro Nunez, 41, a Belizean project manager was travelling from the direction of Dangriga to Belmopan City and upon reaching miles 46 and 47 the vehicle experienced a left front tire blowout. As a result Nunez lost control of the vehicle which then ran across the highway into a drain and bushy area.
Nunez sustained head and body injuries and was transported via ambulance to the Western Regional Hospital then to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) in a serious condition.
The vehicle received extensive damage to its front left portion. Belmopan police are investigating the matter.
