By Aaron Humes: After hearing closing addresses yesterday, Justice John Gonzalez has set a date in next week to give his verdict on 29 year old Calaney Flowers who is charged with the murder of Lyndon Morrison, the father of her 4 year old son.
Morrison was killed on the night of August 28, 2012 while he was driving his motorcycle on Freetown Road. The allegation by the Crown is that Flowers rammed his motorcycle from behind with her red Saturn Car.
Flowers gave a statement from the dock in which she denied that she struck the motorcycle with her car. Keith Franklin, a witness for the defense, testified that he saw when the motorcycle drove by and collided with the back of a vehicle.
He said that the motorcycle was not hit by a car. But two witnesses for the Crown testified that they saw when the car ran into the back of the motorcycle.
Flowers is being represented by attorneys Dickie Bradley and Arthur Saldivar while the Crown is being represented by Crown Counsels Sheneiza Smith and Rene Montero Jr.
