By BBN Staff: Two fishermen were caught with out of season lobster just one day before the season opened. 
The men, Lucito Armando Sosa, 52, and Elizardo Tut, 42, both of Independence Village Stann Creek District were caught on Coco Solo Caye East of Punta Negra Village.
There officials of the Belize Fisheries Department searched the island and found a white ice cooler buried in the sand with 204 out of season spiny lobster tails.
Both men are scheduled to appear at the Punta Gorda Magistrate Court on June 22.
The Fisheries Department pleads to the public to adhere to the regulations for fishing seasons. The lobster season is open on June 15th to February 15th. The public is asked to call the Department at 224-4552 or 223-2623 to report any infractions or the public can contact Crime Stoppers Belize at 0-800-922-TIPS (8477). All information will be treated with the highest confidentiality.
