Showers of Blessings fall in Western Belize following prolonged heat

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Following prolonged heatwaves and days of sweltering heat, residents in Western Belize are grateful for today’s showers of blessings.

Fires had been raging in San Antonio Village, Cristo Rey, San Jose Succotz, Tapir Mountain Reserve, Upper Barton Creek, Vaca Forest Reserve among many other areas.

Volunteers have been battling the blazes as it destroyed farms and devastated forests.

Belizeans had been clamoring for the rains to come.
