By Horace Palacio: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued an updated forecast for today, June 8, 2024, indicating that the moist and unstable weather conditions will persist. Belizeans can expect continued cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms, particularly affecting the central and southern regions.
While the intensity of the rain may decrease throughout the day, the general trend of wet weather is expected to continue through Saturday night and into Sunday.
Coastal areas should anticipate a high temperature of 88°F (31°C) and a low of 82°F (28°C), while inland temperatures will reach a high of 96°F (36°C) and drop to a low of 74°F (23°C). The hilly regions will experience a high of 82°F (28°C) and a low of 68°F (20°C).
Marine conditions will remain consistent with easterly winds blowing at 5-10 knots, creating light chops and waves reaching 2-4 feet.
