By BBN Staff: Ladyville police responded to a distress call on #6 Branson Avenue in Burrell Boom Village.
Upon arrival they visited the residence of Eugene Henderson who resides in a white wooden house about 3 ½ feet off the ground.
Henderson reported to police that between the hours of 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. while sitting down on his verandah he saw a male person going under the house. Upon inquiring who he was and what he wanted, the male individual pulled out a hand gun and attempted to shoot Henderson but fortunately the gun jammed not one but three times.
The culprit then ran towards the front gate and attempted to shoot Henderson once more. He shot at the house four times but no one was injured.
The male person then ran through the gate and went towards the Boom-Hattieville road where he got on a motorcycle and made good his escape.
Police are investigating.
