By Horace Palacio: Prime Minister John Briceño has announced that Belize is no longer under a Hurricane Watch and the ‘All Clear’ has been declared. Residents are now safe to resume normal activities.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to emergency responders, public officers, volunteers, the media, and the community for their cooperation and support during this time. He also encouraged everyone to continue to stay informed with NEMO and the MET service for any further updates.
The announcement was met with relief from Belizeans, who had been preparing for the potential impact of a hurricane. Many took to social media to express their gratitude to the Prime Minister and all those who had helped to keep the country safe.
