By Aaron Humes: This afternoon Angel Rivero, a 63-year-old Belizean watchman, was shaken after being robbed of $3,555.
The initial investigation revealed that Rivero was walking on Mosul Street around 2 p.m. when he was approached from behind by two unidentified men.
The first man, riding a 16-inch male beach cruiser bicycle, was described as having a dark skin complexion, a slim build, and was wearing a red shirt with blue 3/4 jeans pants. The second man was described as having a brown skin complexion, a slim build, and was wearing a black shirt with blue 3/4 pants. The man in the red shirt allegedly pointed a black object resembling a handgun at Rivero while the other individual robbed him of the money in his pants pocket.
Both men then fled into an unnamed alley that leads from Mosul Street to East Collet Canal. One person has been named as a suspect.
The police are actively investigating this case and urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.
