San Ignacio-Santa Elena Low-Lying Bridge closed for road repairs

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: San Ignacio-Santa Elena Low-Lying Bridge is being closed for road repairs on Tuesday, August 20.

“The MIDH (Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing) in collaboration with the SISE (San Ignacio-Santa Elena Town Council), will be closing the Earl Haylock Bridge temporarily for necessary repairs of the road from [the] Pandy residence to the bridge on the 20th of August 2024,” the SISE Town Council said in an announcement.

“The bridge will be open at intervals to facilitate the smooth flow of Traffic.”

The SISE Town Council said it apologizes for the any inconvenience.

The Earl Haylock Bridge, commonly known as the Low-Lying Bridge or Board Bridge, connects San Ignacio and Santa Elena, which together form the main town in the Cayo District.
