Women’s National Amateur Interdistrict Championship, National Youth Club U15, U17 Boys Football Championship weekend games still on

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Word from the Football Federation of Belize is that the second leg of the Women’s National Interdistrict Cup (WNAIC) Semifinals and the National Youth Club U15 and U17 Boys Football Championship are still on for the weekend. However, given the tropical wave passing over Belize, that might change.

In the women’s championship, the Red Bank Scarlet Girls FC are scheduled to face Las Flores FC at Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence at 4:00 pm on Saturday while Corozal Elite should take on the Cattle Landing Dolphins at 5:30 pm at the Louisiana Government School Field in Orange Walk.

Meanwhile, in the National Youth Club U17 Boys Football Championship, San Estevan Soccer Team should face Tribal FC at the Louisiana Field at 2:00 pm on Saturday. The other game between Progresso and Roaring Creek United is scheduled for Sunday at 4:00 pm, also at the Louisiana Field.

In the National Youth Club U15 Boys Football Championship, Progresso should host Medina’s FC at 2:00 pm at Louisiana on Sunday, while Westline should travel to tackle Tribal FC in Punta Gorda on Sunday at 3:00 pm at the Victor Sanchez Union Field.

For now, we wait and see how the weather develops and what decision the FFB will take on Saturday and Sunday.
