By Dalila Ical.: Orange Walk Police successfully arrested Larry Banner after a he inflicted chop wounds to six persons, including children.
Authorities report that around midday on Friday June 24, Banner entered the home of Moises Pech and attacked him and his companion Juanita Pech with a machete. Banner chopped off Moises’ left hand, about five inches from his elbow. Juanita Pech was chopped to her hand and to the top of her head.
Ten minutes later, Banner walked into a second home belonging to Adela Choc where he attacked her, injuring her to the left side of her face and severing her right thumb. Banner also attacked an infant, chopping the child under both elbows. He also inflicted chop wounds to the back of a minor’s head and amputated the right thumb of another child.
Banner was charged for aggravated burglary and maim but will face more charges as Orange Walk Police continue their investigations. Banner has been remanded to prison.
