By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On October 3, 2024, Sacred Heart College welcomed British High Commissioner to Belize Nicole Davison.
During her visit, Davison met with the SHC Inc. President, Rocio Carballo and was later joined by Aiofe Wade, the winner of the “High Commissioner for a Day 2024” competition back in March.
Davison’s visit aimed to support and inspire young girls about the importance of leadership and empowerment.
Aiofe guided the British High Commissioner on a tour of the campus, including a visit to the physics lab for live demonstrations, visit and talk to all 4th form students, and computer lab, where students showcased their skills in AutoCAD.
The visit concluded with a lively discussion and lunch with Student Council and Prefects.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the British High Commissioner for her inspiring visit,” SHC expressed.
