By Victor Castillo Sr.: Looking for somewhere to spend the weekend with the family? Orange Walk Town is the destination for this year’s Fiestarama.
The annual event promises to be bigger and better. In an interview today with Mayor Kevin Bernard, he told BBN reporters that this year’s event would be a bit different since it will only be a two-day event: Saturday and Sunday. It will be filled with activities he said.
Mayor Bernard added that this year the official ceremonies will kick off tonight with the finals of the inter-office football tournament. The activities continue tomorrow Saturday with the annual Business expo. The ever popular mechanical rides will also be in full swing since this year the Council invited a different mechanical company from Mexico that has a wider variety of rides for the family.
Rock bands will be gracing the stage. It will be food galore and there will be many more attractions on both days.
On Sunday the activities continue with a car and motorcycle expo.
According to Mayor Bernard all funds collected this year will assist partially with the student program and the infrastructure program spearheaded by the Council.
