By BBN Staff: Orange Walk police is asking residents who are planning to leave their homes to weather the storm elsewhere to leave their property and valuables properly secured.
Police also pleads to those who need to move to do so in good time in order to receive all the necessary help if they need it. Waiting to move the last minute may result in unwanted delays or being unable to receive any assistance at all.
Officers are working closely with NEMO Orange Walk manning the 52 shelters since 10 this morning and are also conducting patrols around the town to ensure safety and security.
