By BBN Staff: Today the Belize Sugar Industries (BSI) announced that it donated 100 sacks of 
plantation white and 100 sacks of brown sugar to the National Emergency Management Organization( NEMO) to be donated and distributed towards the hurricane victims.
The sugar has a total value of BZ$11, 300.
“We are aware of the suffering caused by the storm and want to help with the re-supply effort in the best way we know how – by providing sugar,” said Chief Financial Officer at BSI, Belizario Carballo.
BSI will also be assisting in efforts to clear the debris in affected areas in the Orange Walk District.
