By Aaron Humes: Earlier this week, while announcing the Cabinet shuffle, Prime Minister Dean Barrow also gave one important update on the investigation into the activities of Rajesh Ouellet aka William Mason. He said that the Attorney General’s Ministry – which is in charge of the vital statistics office – is looking at four persons who facilitated Mason’s bogus Belize birth certificate.
According to the Prime Minister, quote, reports have been made to the police and cases have been compiled for the public service commission, so that there are 4 persons from the Vital Statistics Unit who are going to face either a disciplinary action or criminal prosecutions or both.” End quote.
Mason is originally of Guyana but claims both Canadian citizenship and Belizean birth in Crooked Tree village. He remains imprisoned in relation to the death by beheading of Pastor Llewellyn Lucas, of which he and four other men are accused.
