By BBN Staff: Minister of Defense John Saldivar, is attending a two-day conference in Punta Gorda with senior officers from the Belize Defense Force (BDF).
In a press release issued today the Government’s press office said the purpose of the annual conference is to apprise and update the BDF Commander and the Ministry of Defense on the efficiency and effectiveness of all elements in maintaining and upgrading the various installations and operations of the BDF countrywide; to raise issues of concern and matters to be addressed, as well as to make submissions for the next fiscal year (2017-2018).
The two day conference commenced yesterday, August 19 and concludes today, August 20, 2016.
