By BBN Staff: The general situation for today’s weather is for relatively moist and unstable conditions to prevail.
The 24-hour forecast is for cloudy skies with a few showers and thunderstorms mainly over the south and along the coast this morning, spreading inland this afternoon and then affecting mostly the south tonight.
Winds will blow from east 10 to 20 knots with occasional higher gusts. The sea state is moderate to rough. There is an advisory for small craft operators to exercise caution on the sea.
The outlook for Tuesday and Tuesday night is for partly cloudy skies with isolated showers and thunderstorms.
High temperatures for today are expected to be at 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland and 77 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills. Lows are expected 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
The sun is expected to set at 6:13 tonight and rise at 5:37 a.m. on Tuesday. The moon will rise at 9:47 tonight and set at 9:39 on Tuesday morning.
