Saturday, June 20th, 2015. BMG: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting a relatively dry easterly airflow to prevail over the country for the next couple of days.
The 24 hour forecast calls for cloudy skies with sunny breaks today, and partly cloudy skies tonight. A few showers or thunderstorms will occur over the South this morning and tonight, but generally isolated elsewhere.
Winds will blow to the East at 10 to 20 knots with occasional higher gusts and the sea state will be moderate to rough.
High temperatures are expected to be around 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 82 degrees Fahrenheit up on the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.
A low tide is expected at 7:21 p.m. tonight and a high tide at 1:06 a.m. Sunday morning.
The sun will set at 6:30 p.m.
The extended forecast valid through Sunday night is for some cloudy spells but with showers or thunderstorms generally isolated.
