Sunday, July 26th 2015. BMG: Miguel Angel Cruz was pronounced dead at the KHMH around 11:09 p.m Friday night, July 24, just a few hours after a vehicle collided into him, while he was riding a bicycle on the George Price Highway.
Cruz was riding his bike on the highway shortly before 8:00 p.m. when, at mile 13, a green Toyota Corolla Car driven by Marlon Estevan Hernandez, a 38 year old Hattieville resident, collided into him.
Hernandez reported that just as he was passing the toilet paper factory, he saw something in the middle of the road, prompting him to quickly switch on his high beam and try to avoid an accident but it was too late, and he hit Cruz who he claims was in the middle of the road.
The windshield, head lamp and bonnet of Hernandez’s Corolla was damaged and he received a notice of intended prosecution as a result of the fatal accident.
