By BBN Staff: The People’s United Party (PUP) today held its National Party council meeting at the Belize Elementary School auditorium in Belize city.
Leaders, members and supporters of the party gathered to celebrate the 66th birthday of the PUP.
The Party Council has approved the appointment of a shadow cabinet and it was announced at today’s celebration.
The functions of these shadow ministers are to keep up to date with the current issues affecting their assigned ministry as well as to build strong relationships with stake holders.
The shadow ministers are to always be well informed of stakeholders’ perspectives and to present their party’s views on matters relating to the ministry assigned to them.
They are also to be the spokesperson on matters concerning the assigned ministry.
