By BBN Staff: “Minister of State with responsibility for Transport, Hon. Edmond Castro held a meeting yesterday, September 27, 2016 with Shuttle Bus Operators in Belmopan and surrounding areas”, according to a Government of Belize press release.
Issues discussed included the streamlining of shuttle bus services to conform to their originally intended purpose, and to ensure that they do not conflict with traditional runs by the larger bus operators.
The meeting is part of a comprehensive countrywide assessment and restructuring of the Public Transportation System.
Chief Transport Officer, Tirsio Galvez and other officials from the Department of Transport accompanied the Minister of State.
