By BBN Staff: This morning police removed president of Citizens Organized for Liberty through Action (COLA) Geovanni Brackett and some supporters after they interrupted the meeting of the Senate.
When Church Senator Ashley Rocke began presenting a motion to constitute the Senate Special Select Committee, he mentioned that it was arrived after consultation and compromise. This prompted Brackett to stand up and shout that he was lying and had not contacted anyone.
Brackett and Raymond Rivers went on began berating at Rocke and Hulse, stating that the latter should have recused himself from this morning’s proceedings.
Senator Eamon Courtenay had previously asked the Upper House in a motion to consider Hulse’s removal but Acting Senate President Dr. Carla Barnett deferred it to the next session on the basis that she was not convinced that it would protect the House’s privileges to have a Minister who presides over the Ministry to be investigated and have to appear before his fellow Senators at a later time.
However, Brackett and the group of supporters left without any trouble.
