By BBN Staff:Rebecca “Bex” Rath, newly crowned Ms. Belize Universe will now compete against 90 other women from all over the world as she represents “The Jewel” in the Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines.
The pageant will be held on January 30, 2017 in Manila.
In order to confidently and accurately present Belize to the world, a team has been assembled to help schedule and plan every day between now and Manila. For these reasons organizers are requesting Belizeans and friends of Belize, to assist in raising the funds needed to prepare Bex and send her to the Miss Universe Pageant.
The National/Creative Director for Queen of the Jewel-Miss Belize Universe, Opal Enriquez said in a statement that “This journey is as much about Belize as it is about Bex. We all know how special our country is, and now, with your help, it will be time for us to show the world. All donations are secured and exclusively used to fund Rebecca’s journey to Miss Universe.”
The organizers have launched a Gofundme campaign for funds that will be used for travel expenses, to acquire required wardrobe, continue pageant and physical training, and purchase necessary gift items to carry to the Miss Universe Pageant for other contestants and organizers.
