By BBN Staff: Those that may not know Caroline Copius, 47, may from her appearance assume that she is days away from delivering a child.
However, that could not be further from the truth for Copius, now known as the tumor lady because of the tumor-like swelling on her abdomen.
She has been homeless for some time now and her condition has been painful to the eyes of people especially those who traverse the corner of North Front Street and Queen Street in Belize City.
“Friends, family and even Cabinet Ministers have expressed disgust at my appearance and refuse to offer assistance”, she said.
She told BBN that medical officials at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital have been unable to determine the cause of her swollen stomach.
According to Copius, she believes that her sickness is the work of voodoo caused by her ex boyfriend of twenty-four years who is now addicted to crack.
