By BBN Staff: A Belize City man was shot and killed just before 7:00 last night in San Pedro Town.
Police responded to shots fired in the San Mateo area of the island where they found the lifeless body of Jason Gillett, 30.
While police are canvassing the area and recording statements they suspect that Gillett’s death may be gang or drug related.
San Pedro police told BBN that Gillett also known as “Skilla” was a known George Street affiliate and cocaine peddler.
No one has been charged or detained in relation to his death.
